Question Windows 11 minimum RAM requirements ?

Am I the only one finding people that say Windows 11 has got to a point where 16GB is kind of the minimum now, even for basic tasks? This is just.... not true at all. Even if you only have a dual core CPU and 4GB of RAM, you can still do basic tasks: check your email, watch youtube, read news articles, browse social media, write documents in word, use excel, that sort of stuff. Ya, it might be a bit sluggish, but its definitely doable. Even 8GB is more than enough for basic tasks and then some. Why do I see people saying 16GB is the minimum now?

16GB is minimum for gaming. There are games, that will not even run with less ram.

If no gaming, then yes. You can manage with less ram.
But SSD is a must for windows 11. On a mechanical HDD windows 11 is almost unusable.

Windows 11 with 8GB works better for me than Windows 10 with the same RAM; this seems like a rarity. Microsoft also lists 16GB for Copilot++ PC.

Pretty much everything runs with 16GB ram.
There are games, that will not run with less than 16GB ram.

For example - I had a problem running RDR2 on 8GB ram pc.
