In preparation for windows 11 on an AsusB450M-A motherboard I set up secure boot and also using using the motherboards built in TPM enabled that.
However later I find that the BIOS version is out of date. So I downloaded the BIOS update file to USB.
Started to proceed with the bios update and was warned that the security features aformentioned should be turned off.
This worries me as if I do this and re enable them both after BIOS update, will this then not boot up or corrupt something?

The whole point of the new bios is that the settings for tpm and secure boot are now Enabled by default. In older bioses the default was disabled, which is why you had to manually turn them on, Now with the new bios you shouldn't have to do that and you can just check them to make sure they're working.

Yes if he is updating to 3205 it is going to be enabled

I have seen people getting a 9E error code on Asus BIOS since updating to that but the PC seems to boot still.

Does the BIOS update fix an issue you are experiencing or is just newer? If it's just because it's newer, don't bother updating it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Yes that's true, you've got a point.
Maybe best leave well alone as no issues to be fixed just a newer BIOS version.
