Question Windows 11 - simple things made impossible -

I find it very frustrating and annoying that I can not change the font STYLE in notepad unless I embark on a journey i dont want to - like changing registry entries etc
All I am trying to do in NOTEPAD is changing the FONT style - should be easy like it was in Windows 10 - but when i click on "edit/fonts" all there is styles which
set to "regular" and no way to change that. I would be grateful is anyone can shed any light on this subject.

Notepad, for Win (AFAIK), is for fast and easy writing down notes. Hence the lack of text formatting.

For text formatting, why not use Wordpad instead? I do, since it offers a lot of text formatting, without being full-blown as M$ Word is.

change font type (family), not all fonts have multiple styles

The default font, Lucida Console, only has one style:

If you want a fixed-spacing font that has multiple styles, I suggest Consolas.

Well, I don't find the notepad to be much of a problem, but I find just about everything else is a problem or more annoying than it should be, mostly UI stuff.
