Question Windows 11 sound....

Hello all.

Compared to windows 10, windows 11 sound is crap. I have two tall speakers, middle and two subwoofers running off my surround sound receiver. Is there a program I can download that will make it sound better?

you can barely hear my subs and the speakers just dont sound good. with 10 it sounded much better.

win10 or win11 is same, there is no audio differences between both operating systems, the only difference that would make something like this happen would be by using different audio drivers then you had installed in win 10

I went ahead and installed the realtek hd audio codecs. but i am still wondering if there is a free or reasonably priced third party program that would spark up my sound? thx

Which driver did you install ? There are 2 types, one installs Realtek HW Manager in Control panel and other one needs Realtek Audio Control which is a W11 APP. both should have equalizer and other sound enhancements.

On the realtek site. it was under pc audio codecs-hd audio codecs software-
ALC888S-VD
but when i install it the control panel does not load says cannot connect to services. ran some troubleshootin via youtube and still nothing. any programs that have a built in equalizer? thx
