Question Windows 11 Update KB5040442 and Install error - 0x800f0831

Is anyone else having a problem with this update?

I have regularly been trying this install it for several weeks now (since it became available). Each time it does not complete and I get a message "Install error - 0x800f0831".

Please update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

According to my system's Update History the update successfully installed on July 10, 2024.

When and where does the install error appear?

Look in Reliability History/Monitor and Event Viewer for any other errors, warnings, or infomational events involving that update.

Or any other errors, etc., that were logged at the times that the update failed.
