[SOLVED] Windows 11=Windows 10 Next?

Solution
unless its changed, the patches are mostly defender, and they were labelled Win 10 Next when people were using the leaked version.

Insiders build version number is 21H2 as well.

Its just using the system that was already there. I don't know what it means for the 21H2 version for Win 10 but its not my problem to sort out. I assume there are 2 builds on Insiders now, one for 10 & one for 11. I don't go out of my way to use pre release versions of windows, driver support might be a little patchy,

Solution
Win 11 only has 1 update a year so version number could just be the year, avoids the problems they had with win 10 where the 6 monthly version updates started to get released later, and their numbering system stopped making sense.
Original version number system was YEAR/MONTH so 1507 was released July 2015. But it eventually broke and the 2019 April version was a month or so later. Then they swapped last year to YEAR/PERIOD so 21H1 is Update 1 for 2021 (not sure what H means)

If only 1 version update per year you have more time between them to get the next one finished and make significant enough changes so that they aren't just bug fixes like the last 3 have been for win 10.
