Windows 2000 Service Pack 2

Anyone has installed Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 ?

They claim that it can run a lot of those old-Windows 98 applications which earlier couldn't run. Anyone experienced this? What about games?

Here's the <A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/sp2/default.asp" target="_new">Link</A> from Microsoft for everything about Win2K SP2.

I'm installed it, and it's run fantastically. I'm stable, and I haven't crashed yet or had any problems. For games, you should know that they don't run as well on Win98. I don't play games much, that's why I'm using Win2K.

I installed it but it doesn't seem to work with my games =( I just want to finish my Torment but it's doesn't run on W2K (not even with SP2).

Right! Quite a lot of fixes.

This one here says that "<i>Windows 2000 SP2 automatically upgrades your system to 128-bit encryption. It is not possible to disable or uninstall this feature.</i>"

Do I smell a lawsuit??

I just downloaded Windows 2000 Compatibility Updates and they had a bunch of updates on games. Check it out at Microsoft Windows Update.

I've gotten the original (cira 1991) Civilization to work. I've not messed around with anything else; there's only so much you can do with a p2 266 laptop.

ive only got a dialup too
i suggest you get
download accelerator,
then use the stop/resume option to get it in chunks.
it took me 8 hrs... but i got it.

good pack too. fixed a few bugs
