Windows 2000 Setup Freezing

I've just built a new system, and have installed Windows 2000. The only problem is, when I get to the part right after you load up and click next and it says "Windows will now check for peripherals like keyboards and mice. This will take several minutes. The screen may flicker or shut off." or something along those lines, the setup always freezes midway. I have tried re-installing and it still happens. I would be VERY grateful of any help. My system specs. are:

Antec PLUS1080AMG
Pentium 4B 2.4Ghz
Asus P4S8X
Mushkin Hi Perf. PC2700 DDR 222(2-2-2 timings)
Western Digital Caviar 80Gb hard drive
Hercules 3D Prophet II MX
Generic floppy (I can find out the specifics if I have to)
Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer
Asus DVD-E616

Do you have a printer, scanner, or any other older perpherial conneted to the PC while the install is in process? One or more compenents are not compatible with W2k. Check the W2k <A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/professional/howtobuy/upgrading/compat/search/devices.asp" target="_new">hardware compatibility list</A>.

Another workaround is to remove the suspected incompatible hardware and then do the install. After the install is complete, shutdown and remove all power and reinstall teh compenent and try to find compatible drivers for it. Don't be suprised to get a blue screen every now and then until you either fine a driver the W2k likes or you will have to replace the incompatible hardware.

Thanks for the help, finally got it booting, but it wasn't a printer or anything. I think this motherboard hates USB devices because it wasn't booting with them.
