Hi

I am wanting to set up a Windows 2000 terminal server on a Windows Server
2003 domain. I am not going to be using termial server on any of the Windows
2003 servers.

Am I correct in thinking I have to set up the terminal server License Server
on one of my Windows Server 2003 domain controlers?

All the clients accessing the windows 2000 terminal server will be running
windows XP? Am I correct in thinking that this means I do not need to buy
any terminal server client access licenses, as for Windows 2000 terminal
server, Windows 2000 and XP come with the terminal server CAL.

If this is the case, do I still have to install the Win XP terminal server
CALs on the License server?

If so, how do I do it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes. You can't run it on the W2K member server, so one of your 2003
DCs is the best place.

Yes. XP Pro and W2K Pro clients will receive a free TS CAL from the
Licensing Server (the free TS CAL is *not* included with the client
OS, it is issued from the build-in TS Licensing Server license
pool).

No, you don't have to install any TS CALs. The 2003 TS Licensing
Server contains a free pool of "Existing Windows 2000 TS CALs".
