windows 2000 wont boot afther clean install

i insalled windows 2000 (i burned 2 disks from 2 isos) every time it boots it says or hal.dll missing or the orther iso tels me load needed dlls for kernel i tried fat and ntfs

256 mb ram and 266 mhz amd and 850 mb hdd

winworld pc but i fixed it the ide cable to the hdd broke when i unplugged it so i replaced it and reinstalled the system and its now installing devices
