planning on getting windows 7 home premium 64 bit but i'm not sure if it is needed. Can someone explain the difference between Both 64 bit and 32 bit of Windows 7 Home Premium? and which would recommend?

I found that 32 bit only uses 4GB of ram and 64 bit uses more? So would i need to get a 64 bit for 8GB of ram? is this correct?

Solution
Yes, if you have more than 4GB RAM, you need a 64bit OS.

Unless you have a specific documented need for 32bit, always go with the 64bit.
You should use the 64-bit version to take advantage of more than 4GB of memory. Otherwise, there are no practical differences in the versions from a user's perspective. With modern hardware (like yours), there is zero reason to use a 32-bit OS for the vast majority of users.
