Hello everyone, is there any difference between Windows7 32bit and 64bit in gaming performance?..
I'm using windows 7 32bit and my RAM is 4gb..

I want to know what are the benefits using 64bit that 32bit can't give to me when it comes to gaming performance.

And by the way i'm planning to buy another 4gb memory to make it 8gb ram.

Please enlighten me if i need switch in 64bit or i will just stick to my 32bit.
Anyway my OS is genuine.

There is another option.

If you plan on staying 32-bit (cost, or whatever reason), you can look at adding some more ram and running your games off of a persistent ramdisk.

Provided they aren't too large (under 4gb, or however much ram you plan to add), you'll likely see a substantial increase in games read/write times.

The simplest solution is to go 64-bit if you add more ram, but there are uses for more than 4GB at 32-bit if you want to stay that way (for whatever reason).

If you re-format your operating system drive, you'll lose all of the data on that drive unless you back it up elsewhere.

Otherwise no, there aren't any real consequences.
