Hi. I installed windows 7 32 bit over my 32 bit windows vista. the 32 bit version of windows 7 runs fine on my computer, but ive been trying to install windows 7 64 bit and im having problems. the installation is way to quick and when i try to boot windows, before even the starting windows logo appears, windows crashes and shows me the "0xc0000225" error. tried running in safe mode, low res mode etc. If i try to repair using my installation disk it says that the installed version of windows doesnt match the one on the DVD. My hard drive was split in to two partitions. when i installed windows 32 bit on the other partition i found that the 64 bit windows on the other partition was only 9Gb. I formatted the hard drive several times now and i merged the two partitions. i have a AMD sempron 3200+ which i believe supports 64 bit OS.
Please help me and thank you

The object was not found.

Odd error to say the least, since I highly doubt a SW problem in the Windows install...

First and formost: The CPU may support 64-bit, but is the motherboard 64-bit capable AND configured for 64-bit use? [IE: Memory Remapping enabled and some other BIOS settings]
Sounds like a jumbled mess on your hard drive. I suggest you start over from the beginning. Forget about what it use to do or have installed.
1. Does your system meet the minimum system requirements for installing windows?
3. Is all of the hardware capable of running window 7 64bit. Can you get drivers, firmware, chipset info etc.
2. Use a fully licensed (not OEM) version of windows and perform a clean install.

A BSOD or other halt prior to boot is usually a hardware problem (not necessarily defective)

ok, we'll go from the start:
1. Yes, i used the free Windows 7 compatibility checker from the MS website. ive got a 1.8 Ghz processor and 4 gigs of ram.
2. Motherboard: Acer Aspire T180. Chipset North Bridge: AMD Hammer DDR2 IMC, South Bridge: nVIDIA nForce 6100-405 (MCP61S). Drivers are up to date. (not sure if this is the info you were looking for...)

RAM is DDR2 SDRAM, not sure about voltage across the motherboard. its an Acer Aspire 180. im using Everest to get all this info.

ok its manila. so that means it supports 64 bit?
