Hello readers, I’ve just built a new pc, rough spec below. I’m not very knowledgeable (probably haven’t set it up correctly it’s a quad core its all rather intimidating coming from a 1.1ghz AGP machine prior) and I’m having difficulties, hoping to find answers here.
System spec:
OS: Currently XP I did install windows 7 32 bit, and went back to XP
Mobo: Asus p6t deluxe v2 (the one without the sas controllers)
CPU: Intel i7 920
Ram: Crucial ballistix 1333mhz
Not over clocked, all stock, on air with a heat sink.
1. I’m trying to install windows 7 64 bit (frustrating/border line tears), during installation, a driver that has no description is required from a media device, searching online and using ideas I’m still unable to install windows 7 64 bit, but I have had windows 7 32 bit installed, without a driver requirement issue.
2. In my bios I can read my lg ch08 super multi blu ray drivers description, but it doesn’t show up (the letter drive icon) in my computer, it opens closes and speeds up, and I can not find a driver online… it doesn’t appear to exist inside the os.
I haven’t flashed the bios, seems to deep a process but it may be required, I ran windows 7 upgrade advisor and it mentioned a miniport driver possible issue, I just really need guidance here, I’m trying to install Windows 7 home premium edition, thanks for your time.
