Windows 7 64 not recognizing network connection

win 7 64 bit Cisco wyfi, D-link router, IP address missing, computer says its connected but no internet access. How can I set an IP address?

Your router should have DHCP enabled and hand out the IP addresses to the computers connected. Log into your router and make sure your DHCP is enabled. What kind of internet are you using and what kind of modem?

More imformation: computer will start up in safe mode with internet access and does fine. Hooked computer up wired and can't accest internet. Router and modem has been reset. KHCP is enabled but don't list an IP address.
