Hi guys,
i have windows 7 64 bit home premium and im geting bsods all the time. i think its the graphic card. Windows 7 has been telling me that theres a problem with the graphic card and if i wanted to resolve it. tried that ofc it didnt work. Ihave a gigabyte gtx460 super overclock, with the latest drivers installed. i managed to get the dump file was wondering if some one could examine it for me. Another thing is some times my pc crashes out of the blue and makes this weird high pitched sound on the speakers. btw my tv gets the audio from the graphic cards hdmi. I was thinking maybe the graphic card is faulty? ive still got a warranty on it though . Thx look forward to ur replys :)

All right, I was having some problems to get the right symbols for Windbg, not sure if I got it fixed but I think you have a problem with the graphic driver:

ADDITIONAL_DEBUG_TEXT:
Use '!findthebuild' command to search for the target build information.
If the build information is available, run '!findthebuild -s ; .reload' to set symbol path and load symbols.

Have you modified any bios settings for the pci x, Voltage?

Try this: uninstall the current driver
See if you have any Bsods>reboot

Once you reboot>(wait because windows might install it automatically, so also check that out)

Apply the update and reboot

The best of all is testing it on default values..so whatever you have changed in bios(regarding overclock) I would suggest you to set it as default. Also if you have another pc, you could try fitting the gpu in it so that you will confirm it is the graphic card issue.

I havent changed anything in bios apart from the cpu core unlock and cpu voltage bit more then stock because its on 4 cores instead of 3

I just tried what u suggested very strange o.o. I uninstalled the driver like u sugested and then after a few mins of uninstalling windows prompted me to restart the pc so i did. Then after it had booted it up and got past the welcome screen just when it was loading up my programs it crashed just froze there. So i waited a little while and nothing then i pressed the restart button on my pc. Then it was at the starting screen where it shows the windows logo and it crashed there again  so i restarted again and then it crashed at the same place again. then i restarted it again and it managed to boot up this time. It hasnt automaticaly installed the driver though.i guess ill install the latest one again. Any idea why it crashed so many times im seriously starting to think the graphic card is messed up? Thx for the help

Wow, try boot in safe mode see what happens(F8 during post, then safe mode) if it boots ok, then I understand the driver is faulty, (safe mode doesnt load drivers)

log into your account, then go to Event Viewer.(type it on search).
Open Windows Logs menu>Check on Applications log.

If you have errors there, then read the description if possible.

Also check:Setup logs and system logs, try find the errors and check their times, so you would know which one was. What driver are you using and where are you downloading it from? does it work with the driver that came on the cd?

I know its silly, but, do you have your gpu installed in the green slot?
If you have another gpu try it on see how windows boots up.

It wont be a bad idea trying the 2nd pci x slot, see if it does the same.

Good luck

Damian suggested testing on default values and that should include the CPU. Did you lock the CPU to only use 3 cores?
