im upgrading to 64bit using CD, but when selecting where the installation, it says "a required cd-dvd drive device driver is missing". Can someone help asap. Thanks in advance 😀

Solution

Extract driver zip file, copy extracted contents onto usb flash drive and load storage drivers during windows install.
Storage drivers will be in this folder, after you extract them:
\NVIDIA_Chipset_v1556_W7Vista64\IDE\Win764\sata_ide

Specs:

CPU:Amd Athlon x2 255
GPU:GTX 750 ti
RAM:6 gb

i'm using CD to install windows 7 64 bit from 32 bit, i can't reformat because there's no drive showing up, thanks in advance

Sorry for being a noobie 😀 but i'm so lost right now. I'm new to PC so sorry

i checked my Hdd and it says WD Caviar Blue 250 gb

Thank you :) it says WDC WD25 00AAJS-00V4A SCSI Disk Drive
I hope that's the one we're looking for

Solution

Thank you sir for your time answering my questions, sorry for being a noob 😀 I hope no more errors pop up :) thank you again!

I can't load driver from the sata_ide. it says installation failed. i did everything you said but this error shows up

There's no Step 11 shown in wikihow you showed me in my case, it automatically goes to step 12 with the error "no device driver found" showing up. so i went to recovery because maybe that may help but that new error shows up. there is no load driver setting in my installation mode because of the no device error

So you're getting this screen. Right?
Hit Browse and load the driver, you extracted earlier.
