Hello,

I just got a SSD and would like to do a clean Windows 7 install. I've mounted the ISO to a USB stick and can get it to boot up, but it keeps saying it's missing the necessary CD/DVD drivers. I have a HP dv6-6135 laptop. Any driver I download from HP.com won't work. It says no hardware found matching the compatible drivers.

I'd really rather get this to work for cleanliness than just copy my original drive. Has anyone had any issues like this, and does anyone have any advice?

Thank you.

Solution
Do you get to any point where you see a welcome screen before it says "missing cd/dvd drivers"?

If so, retry again. But when you see the missing cd/dvd drivers hit cancel, and x out to the welcome screen. Unplug the usb drive and replug the usb drive into a different port. Then continue with the install.

Also make sure you use the Microsoft usb/dvd download tool. And check the hash. =General%20Tips]http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/31541-windows-7-usb-dvd-download-tool.html?filter[2]=General%20Tips
