Alright so ill get straight to my story of how the shit hit the fan with my computer. First off I just moved down to Mexico so I brought with my desktop computer, big mistake, so I stuffed the internals with clothes and stuff to protect it, another mistake. When we got here a couple weeks went bye finally i got a monitor and I tried turning on the PC. Nothing appeared on the screen and though the lights turned on and power was definitely running to everything. Eventually with the help of some peeps on here we concluded it was a Mobo failure. So yesterday I got a new mobo thinking it would solve the problem it did solve my hardware problem the computer outputted tot he screen but windows 7 keeps crashing and rebooting when it says Starting Windows. So I made a bootabe USB drive with a torrrented Win 7 Ultimate and I clicked Repair Your Computer. Thats when I pretty much dont know what to do. When I click Troubleshoot then I click refresh my PC it says "This option is not supported on the operating system you've selected" When I click Startup Repair It says the same thing. I went to the command prompt and ran chkdsk /R E: and it ran for like 3 hours but then it didnt say that there were any bad sectors or anything like that. If I go to "Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset" and go to Explorer I can see all of my files and copy them to separate drives and what not. At this point im ready to go out and buy a 500GB-1TB hard drive external or internal, copy all of my important files onto there then completely reinstall windows. If anybody has any ideas so that I dont have to buy a new drive it would much appreciated.

If I spam F8 then click dont restart on boot failure or whatever I get this bluescreen. Here are some other pics of what I seen when I click Repair My Computer. http://imgur.com/a/eBeZ7

1st thing never put things inside the case of a computer man thats nuts, if you are gonna travel and plan on getting your custom made pc or any other put your case in the box the case came with and put some bag of plastic or anime (the solid soft white thing that comes in most electronic devices) and handle it with extreme care (fragile), another thing is that you cant expect that your old os to work with the new mobo system you had to put on your machine you have to format or reinstall the os so that everything gets back to normal (i remeber something about reinstalling the os but not clear on it) anyways probably you will have to format the system to get it back on

Yeah I switched to a different motherboard from my Asus M5A97 R2.0 to this piece of shit Gigabyte 78LMT-S2. If I do reisntall windows how do I go about doing so without losing my files. Should I get a separate hard drive copy everything over then reinstall windows?

depens as i said if you only reinstall it there is a chance to save the files without doing anything else (just changing rights of the files most probably) but if you are forced to format the drive backup your old data 1st to another drive

I just found my old torrent i used to install windows and im using that to try and repair starup. If that doesnt work then ill reinstall windows.

EDIT: Startup Repair didnt work it still reboots when I start windows. Im going to go and get a hard drive to backup my important files to then re install windows.

So I bought a 256GB SSD and im going to install Windows on it. Once thats done ill plug in the old drive and just use that as normal. Thanks for your help guys as always love the community support!
