Hello
I have been expieriencing the dreaded bsod only while playing CSS or any HL2 engine, im running windows 7 ultamite 64bit os. i cant be a overheating problem assured by my six fans in a very large server tower case never gets above room temp even under load ive never felt it get any noticably hotter. dust is not an issue as i clean it out monthly, i dont know if this matters but the specs:
AMD phenom ii X4 the highest model i believe
8 gig of kingston ram
ASUS GTX 560 ti cue 2 the overclocked one
corsair 700 watt PSU
Gigabyte motherboard no idea which one
3 sata HDD's 2 slave 1 master no raid

if anymore info is needed please ask i have no expierience with dealing with BSOD.
why is it when only while playing css or HL2 TF2 and so on i have played non HL2 engine games such as Race 07, and a couple of other racing games and i have done a furmark test to see if it was a stress problem on the GPU for whatever reason but it went through that without a problem.
Thanks in advance

Bug Check 0xFC: ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY

Very unusual error. Essentially, a program somewhere attempted to run some piece of code in a region where code can not be executed.

At a quick glance, two things could be at fault:

1: A virus is trying to run, and causing the system to go
2: Corrupted RAM

The reason a virus could be at fault, is as of about a decade ago, the XD [NX] bit, if set in the BIOS, is used to mark certian parts of memory non-executable in order to protect critical programs from possible corruption. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xd_bit

So run a virus scan with either MSE or Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, just to rule out this possibility.

If that checks out, then run a memory test on each stick of RAM one at a time with memtest86.

Just to clarify one other point: is this the ONLY BSOD you get, or do you get others [specifically, 0x0000001A, 0x0000000A, or 0x0000003B, which all point to memory problems]?

Im running a vuirus scan now but i doubt its a virus cause i run them regularly about 1 to 2 months apart but last time i did a virus scan it blue screened once again but css was minimized, there are other error codes
0x000000FC (0xFFFFF88002FDA538, 0x900000021211C963, 0x0FFFFF80000BA24A0, 0x000000000000000000 (didnt count how many 0's there were on the last one)
as for the ram i will test it maybe tonight.
