Windows 7 build 7601 os not genuine?

Hi. so I built a computer and to save some money I just used the hard drive from my old asus laptop. It was working for a while and then it started to tell me that windows wasn't genuine. Does anyone know how to fix this?

can't move OEM licenses between computers. Pay for another copy of whatever OS you are using, or call MS and activate it using the old CD key

If your version of Windows is retail then try this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2008385

or just try re-entering the product key if prompted.

It's not genuine.... it's not a retail version of windows.....it's an OEM version (came with laptop). The only way to fix it is to buy a genuine (read "legal") copy of windows. I am surprised the machine even gets into windows....it's gotta be crippled to an extent with all the old laptop drivers on it.
