Windows 7 Can't Find USB or Ethernet Drivers

As for the Ethernet, you need to download the Lan drivers from either the MFG of the mobo or if the PC was a pre-built one, like a Dell, go to Dell's Web site, enter the service tag and find the Lan drivers and download.

For the USB, look in the Device Manager and see if there are any yellow exclamations next to where you see the Universal Serial Bus Controllers. You might be able to right click on it and update the drivers.

I've installed Windows 7 Pro 64Bit on several PC's and never had to deal with USB drivers, after the Windows install and after installing all the updates, the USB ports worked fine. But not the internet, I had to download those drivers every time.

Okay but i have no internet on my Dad's computers so using the auto update is a no go.

Duh....my bad.
Even if you found another computer to download the drivers onto a flash drive, you say the USB ports don't work on his PC so the flash drive won't be recognized.

So none of the USB ports work? The ones on the PC case itself, or what about the ones right on the mobo (on the back of the PC case)?

How did the computers get "updated"?

Honestly I think it might be anything that uses the internet, because the mouse and keyboard work. But the Ethernet and USB Wi-Fi Adapter are screwed and the computer keeps blaming the USB serial bus controller and ethernet port.
