Windows 7 Desktop not Loading

Hi guys,
So my desktop has been running into problems recently where I sign in, the desktop loads then everything freezes. I.e the keyboard and mouse are unresponsive (occasionally I can move the mouse) and I cannot click anything.
I used to system restore it and that would solve the problem. However it happened today and I system restored three or four times to different points.
My PC boots up, I log in and the desktop begins to load UNTIL it freezes on a black screen with just the taskbar showing (which only shows the time and date?)

If I boot it into safe mode my computer works fine, so I'm not sure where the problem is. I assumed it was one of the restore points, however as I mentioned I tried different points to no avail.

Anyone have ideas?

Possible cause, GPU drivers, uninstall them from Safe mode first.

Thanks for the reply, and sorry for the slow reply I've been quite busy. Will I need to install a new software in order to uninstall them?

I have the nVidia GeForce Experience software and am able to do a clean install if that's suitable?

Since it's working only in safe mode, you'll have to uninstall drivers in safe mode. You could use DDU https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html for that, it works from safe mode anyway.
