I have a problem and i don't know what to do my friends tell me that i have no choice but to format it..

After the welcome screen it turns to black screen then i can literaly move the mouse freely but it takes to long to load the desktop..

I can also open the windows task manager, plus i can play games too if i want too..

How to fix this.?
Format Computer or what.?

Solution
I have some other ways this can be fixed but try this first:

1) Reboot and press F8
2) Select "Repair my computer"
3) Select the keyboard layout and language
4) When you reach system recovery tools, select System Restore.
5) Select the restore point when it was last working fine and restart the computer.

If you do not have the system restore points, try startup repair.
