Windows 7 Error 0xc000000f

I have a desktop computer, build by myself almost 2 years ago now. Last week I was doing some file cleanup and I think I must have accidentally deleted some vital Windows files. I know, stupid me, but now I can't get my computer to get past the loading screen.
I have Windows 7 64-bit, and when I try to start normally it goes to a black screen and gives me an error: "Status: 0xc000000f" and "Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible". Not really sure what this means.
So I have tried booting from my SSD (I have 2 hard drives, an SSD for Windows and a HDD for my files and games) and it would keep giving me this error. So I decided I should try to reinstall Windows, as I have the disc and everything.
I've tried to reinstall Windows, but I click on "Install Now" and after a moment it tells me "A required CD/DVD drive driver is missing... ". I have tried downloading every driver I could think of for my motherboard (ASUS Sabertooth) and disc drive (ASUS as well). I try using these drivers but they don't work so I get stuck at this screen.
I have also tried repairing Windows, but (of course) I don't have any previously saved images of my computer, and when I run the diagnostics it just has the computer restart and everything starts all over again.

So, I am looking for ideas from anyone what is wrong and how I can fix it.


P.S. I have also tried resetting the BIOS settings and even booting from other drives.

No, press/holding F8 brings up boot options, which runs me into the same problems.

this appears to be a bootmgr problem. if you can get to Advanced boot options, you should be able to select Repair my computer.

I've tried using the Repair my Computer with the Windows disc, but when I go to click on "Repair your computer" from the main install screen, there is no hard drive listed to restore. I can continue and use the Repair my computer but it just restarts my computer and does nothing.

So I tried downloading the drivers to a USB and running for my SSD, which is a 90GB OCZ Vertex 3, and that hasn't worked. I tried finding the drivers when installing Windows and they don't work. I also tried disconnecting the SSD and doing an install of Windows onto my HDD, a Western Digital Black as the only hard drive connected. I still run into the issue of the CD/DVD drivers missing and unable to install Windows. I dont' believe that this drive has crashed or anything because I can still access the files to look in when I go to "Browse" when looking for the drivers.

This appears to be a CD/DVD issue. Are you using originial DVD? Check to make sure your DVD is clean. If you have a cleaner for the DVD, use it.

I am using the original DVD and it looks clean, but maybe there is something wrong with it? I'll try downloading the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool and try installing it from my USB.

It could be your DVD's laser is dirty or some other issue with the DVD player. Let me know how you make out.
