reinstalling Windows 7 Home Premium from my old Windows files

You need an ISO in order to reinstall Windows. Just copying the old files won't do it. Go Here and enter your Windows 7 Product Key. Then follow the instructions for downloading the ISO.

I for got to add that the place I got my computer from installed a new Win 7 because a power surge or something screwed it up enough that they just put a new win 7 in. The problem is, is that I never new anything about a product key or anything really then.
It was 2011 when I got my PC so the company now just tells me I'm on my own. Therefore. no product key.
What is a guy to do????

do you have the sticker with the windows licence number, if you do call microsoft and they will tell you the new licence.
i have done the same about 4-5 times, if they ask why tell them your HDD crashed.

Download and install Windows 10.

Download and install Belarc Advisor. This program will scan your registry and find your Windows 7 Product Key.
