Windows 7 filesharing over two routers

ive been trying for months to get this done but everything i try basically leaves me disconnected from the internet on my main computer so i just put it back like i had it and move on. i am tired of doing that, my current setup follows.

internet works fine across all devices. file sharing works fine across devices connected to the same router. i need file sharing to work across all devices, ide like to have two separate wifi connections but one would be acceptable.

ive tried many setups all have knocked the main computer offline and unable to connect to either router.

Turning DHCP off on one router should do it.

that doesnt work... turned off dhcp and rebooted both routers, have hsi but not sharing across routers.

Turn off dhcp on the wrt54gs and try using a normal Ethernet port not the internet (wan) port, if no luck with that in the set up is their a bridge mode on it? The wnr3500l should have it possibly under the quick set up options.
