Windows 7 final media player problem pls help me

Hi guys and i was wandering whats my problem?
The problems starts after downloading final media player 2012 latest version whenever i turn up the volume it says final media player has stopped working. this does not happen in 2011. My laptop in acer aspire 4920, 32 bit, 4 gb . I might consider the audio card it corrupted or something else. the probem only happen when i turn up the volume with the volume control wheel( or whatever u called it) and final media player does not work.
i would like to keep final media player because i plys any file type so someone pls help me pls help me

Does this problem also occur if you adjust the volume using the volume control slider (looks like a speaker) on the taskbar (Systray) located on the lower right corner of the screen?

Install VLC, as good if better than Mediaplayer and then see if issue remains.
