Windows 7 Freezes at Loadup Screen

I have 1 ssd(with os) and two other HDD's. I found that my main HDD is the culprit to the freezing loading screen when starting up my computer of Windows 7. Now I am guessing that this HDD is the problem, but where do I go from here? The BIOS still detects the hard drive but every time I plug it in, it freezes at Windows 7 loading screen. Thank you for your suggestions. Look forward to reading them.

Hi,
If You had more than two SSD/HDD during installation: then the drive who is attached to the first SATA port (0) will have the boot partition on it and Windows installed.

However, If the boot drive is mounted as disk (1) and another drive is attached to any other SATA-port: regardless - Windows will be installed on the other drive.

If this is the case, make sure to change the boot order in BIOS Setup.
Meaning the drive other than the Windows drive will have to be in the first boot-order, otherwise Windows will not start.

That is the reason I will always suggest to only have one drive connected during Windows installation.

I didn't know about the SATA port 0! And that fixed my problem thank you!!
