Windows 7 Freezes on start-up.

Windows 7 freezes 90% of the time when trying to boot into Windows. Doesn't matter if my CPU is OCed or at stock speed. Is this a bad motherboard? or is it something else.

System:
i7-4770k @ 4.5
MSI-Z87-GD65
Patriot Viper 16GBs 1600mhz CL10
Samsung 840Pro 128GB
MSI 760 TF/OC
Seasonic-SS660XP2

low res mode is an option to boot windows without the graphic driver..
it will use only windows generic driver....
named low resolution mode W7 or vga mode in XP... (or something kinda forget here)

u can go to via F8 when boot windows...

this will eliminate the crash by bad VGA driver..... if it boot fine in this mode this means u need to reinstall the vga driver..

If it boot fine in safe mode it likely software/driver error than hardware error..

u can try restore previuss backup/last good good known configuration,

or try uninstall any new apps/driver/hardware that may cause the...


It can boot into safe mode just fine. Haven't tried chkdsk yet. What is low res mode?
