Windows 7 frozen after 30 seconds!!!

I have a custom build with an Asus H81M-K Mother board, I5 4440 processor and 8GB elite ram. I have Windows 7 64 bit. An SSD drive and yesterday it just gave up. I can use it for about 30 seconds and then it just freezes on me. I have up to date malware and anitvirus. It now unusable. Can't run error checks or even reinstall windows as it freezes. I am out of ideas.

Does your computer experience noticeable slowdown right before it freezes? You might have to reapply your thermal paste.
