Windows 7 gets installed but blue screen of doom appears after first restart.it also restarted when i tried to install drivers taken from gigabyte site for win 7 64 I have amd fx 4100 and 4 gb ram gigabyte 78 lmt usb3+ mobo but still cant install windows 7 ultimate 64bit

So is the BSOD appearing after successfully getting into windows after applying mobo drivers or still under windows installation?

If it happens while installing Windows it could be from a simple defective windows installer (scratched dvd) or a hardware issue, usually RAM related though tests are in order before jumping into any conclusion.

I tried win 8 64 bit same thing happened. There is no problem with 32 bit os.It only works once where everything is ok but after a restart or while restarting while installing drivers it no longer works.32 bit works fine though.the first few times it would'nt install then after some system repair it worked once for every fresh install

"everything is ok but after a restart or while restarting while installing drivers it no longer works"

It's happening when you are installing mobo drivers then? make sure you're installing the appropriate 64bit drivers, are you using the drivers from the cd that came with the mobo or have you downloaded them?

"It's happening when you are installing mobo drivers then? make sure you're installing the appropriate 64bit drivers, are you using the drivers from the cd that came with the mobo or have you downloaded them?"tried boto mobo dvd and softwares from gigabyte site, both times it crashed.it crashed even when i tried to install my graphics drivers.Even if i dont install anything and just restart it,blue screen appears or if i choose to repair,it initiates repair and fixes it for one time use which also has a chance of 20%.anyway the problem only occurs for 64 bit

Well i will be getting my 2*4 corsair vengeance ram in 2 days so i will check by changing the rams, but anyway does it have anything to do with the hdd not being able to reboot using ahcii or raid.it dosnt work when im trying this

Update.while booting i noticed that its trying to boot from d drive and not c drive.but win 7 64 is in c partition.i recognised this when it was trying to repair and saw the result for the failed recovery.
