Windows 7 Google chrome plug in thing

i recently downloaded windows loader and then when i did everything and restarted my computer, i went on my Google chrome browser. but it had like a different interface or well like it didn't have the Google homepage, and if i were to change the homepage, the same thing is still there if i open another window. I've had this problem with "Speed dial" and just got rid of it, I think the best way is to go into the settings and scroll to the very bottom and click "Reset Google Chrome" hope that helps
