Bought a Lenovo Ideapad y510p which comes preloaded with Windows 8.
Programs I use have compatibility issues with WIndows 8. Commence downgrade to Windows 7. I had to change the UEFI settings in the BIOS to Legacy Mode to get it to work. During the installation I deleted all partitions and reformatted the remaining space. The install runs fine and completes.

However, since I have gone through the installation I have never once been able to get to my desktop. It hangs at starting windows every time. I have reformatted and reinstalled. No success. I am unable to get into safe mode as well to work from there. And at this point I am definitely out of ideas, how about you guys?

Solution
Evidently the hardware is not compatible with Windows 7 (did you even bother to check for Windows 7 drivers on the Lenovo website before attempting the downgrade?).

I suggest you perform a factory recovery back to Windows 8

Sorry, this problem is just a unique headache. Thank you for at least trying to help me out. I know everything is compatible with Windows 7 and I've read reviews where people say they switched it over to Windows 7 right away after purchase. The reason Windows 7 over Windows 8 is important to me is program compatibility, so if you have anything else you can think of I will leave my sarcasm out of it respectfully and appreciatively.
