Windows 7 hard disk boot priority drives not visible

Recently, I started up my computer only to receive an "NTLR is missing"-message. No problem, I figured, I´ll just go into recovery. After a couple of frustrating minutes, I found that I couldn´t, for some strange reason. After a bit more work, I now find that my computer doesn´t seem to recognize any of the drives. At least that´s what I assume, since the only visible option in the Boot Priority menu is "Bootable Add-in Cards", as well as any external drives I plug in. Can anyone offer some help?

Double check your cables to the drives in question, both power and data. If they are not connected properly, then the PC won't be able to 'see' them.
