Windows 7 help

Hi, I recently built a PC and attempted to install Windows 7. After everything was done, it took me to the main screen. My username was there but there was also a password. I did not set up a password. I can't get into my PC because I don't know what the password is. Anything I can do?

There should not have been a password. Did you try just pressing enter to see if it would let you through. Maybe you accidentally made a password, so the best thing I can say is to create a new admin account if you can and delete that one...or you may have to do a fresh install of the OS.

I pressed enter and the only two things I filled out was username and PC name. I also tried to do a clean install but it said my hard drive wasn't compatible. How do I create a new admin account?

Sorry, I don't think you can if that is all you can access.

Other than reformatting the hard drive and trying to fresh install again, that is all that I can think of.

By the way, is this a legitimate copy of Windows?
