Hello I have a new pc build today. I'm just trying to setup windows 7 from a disk and am having some issues. The mouse/ keyboard work before boot and work within the bios, however when the windows install disk is loaded they seemingly turn off.

I have tried using different mouse/keyboards and using them in different slots, including going from 2.0 to 3.0 etc. I have used the disk before and it works fine with my pre existing pheriphals, so unsure why this is happening? Any ideas guys?

Current generation motherboards were not designed for Windows 7. You have to build a custom install media for Windows 7 to get current motherboards to work. You need to check the motherboard manufacturer's website to determine if they have the necessary Windows 7 drivers and utility to create the custom Windows 7 installer.
