Hey everyone,

First of all merry xmas or happy holidays if I need to be politically correct. I just built a new computer from my xmas gifts and Im having trouble installing windows 7 64bit. The files are loaded but then goes to a "Windows Boot Manager" screen and gives me the following error:

File: \windows\system32\DRIVERS\arcsas.sys
Status: 0xc0000221
Info: Windows failed to load becuase a critical system driver is missing, or corrupt.

My current specs on my build are:

MoBo: Gigabyte x58a
CPU: Intel I7
Ram: 8gb
CD drive
GPU: 8300gt
HDD: 1TB WD

I have been trying to research the error but have yet to find a solution. I had the same problem on another build and I just went to XP instead of dealing with problem. I really want to get windows 7 64bit and I have built this computer towards that. Has any one encountered this error before? any suggestions to fixing this error?

FYI: all parts are new expect CD drive.

Thanks,
-John
