Windows 7 Install Screen Problem

I'm trying install a fresh copy of windows 7 on my friend's computer and initial install screen looks like this

We cannot advance at all from this screen. This OS has had Windows XP installed previously

system specs are:
core 2 duo E6600
7900GT
2GB RAM
ASUS P5W DH-Deluxe

What in the heck is that? A dropped plasma screen?

I take it that's a legit copy of Windows 7? If so, the computer is broken. If not, all bets are off.
