windows 7 installation usb question

H! I am trying to download windows 7 off of a USB drive onto a blank
external ssd (for a separate desktop) using my laptop without interfering with the OS on the laptop. I am just concerned about ruining anything on the laptop as it is not mine, so any information is welcome.

Download Rufus. It s a software to create a bootable usb or anything. You have to have a external case or connection to connect this ssd externally in the USB port of your laptop. You have to download a windows iso and with this software burn it on this new flash drive as bootable windows media. Google it to know more.
