Windows 7 installtion freezes

I have just rebuilt my old system and when i try to install windows it all goes well it boots off the CD then it loads windows files then does a windows load screen then the screen goes black and the CD drive stops spinning.

This problem is really frustrating me if some one could help me out it would be much apreciated

Antec True Power Quattro 1000Watt Modular PSU

ASUS Xonar DX
 
Well, pretty good configuration for rebuilding new PC.

Similar problem occurred to me & i found that dirty DVD R/W was the culprit. Try to clean the DVD R/W using some cleaning disk.

If the disk has any scratches burn a new one booting from UBUNTU LIVE CD (This always fixes Windows problems. At least for me).
