I just bought a new Toshiba laptop with Windows 7. I downloaded I.E 8.0.
AOL 9.01. This seemed to work okay.

However I then tried to upgrade my McAfee bundle and I got a bluescreen.

I had to run the recovery disc.

Now I am reluctant to add any of the three packages..

Any suggestions.

I would assume the newer laptops have adequate storage ability. Make sure your laptop's storage can accommodate the applications that you intend to install. I believe McAfee is a hog as well. I don't use McAfee it's a memory hog and slows everything down on my PC. That's my .02 cents. Like it or not Microsoft Security Essentials works.

This is a newbie answer to a more probable complex issue.

I have used AVG for a couple of years now and have had no problems. I changed to MSE recently and have had no issues as well. Zero, Nada, Zip, Null...It would be a good idea to have another utility (MWB) on your desktop to run occasionally.
