Everything was working fine up to this point when I rebooted my computer today and now it's stuck in startup repair loop. Windows reaches the starting Windows screen and then it goes into startup repair. I scanned it with Malwarebytes right before I rebooted and no malware was detected.
I plugged the HDD into a different computer and it's not damaged and all files appear to be intact.

The problem details in the startup repair says:

Problem event name: StartupRepairOffline
Problem signature 01: 6.1.7600.16385
Problem signature 02: 6.1.7600.16385
Problem signature 03: unknown
Problem signature 04: 21198752
Problem signature 05: AutoFailover
Problem signature 06: 5
Problem signature 07: CorruptFile
OS version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1045

Diagnosis and repair details:

Number of repair attempts: 5

Session details:
System disk = \Device\Harddisk0
Windows directory = E:\Windows
AutoChk Run = 0
Number of root causes = 1

Root cause found:
Boot critical file E:\Windows\System32\drivers\sfsync02.sys is corrupt.

The thing about it is that it's a system drive C: so why does it say the drive letter is E:? Is that where the problem lies?

What could cause this? How do I fix it? Do I need to reinstall Windows?

Another thing is that Windows is not detecting USB ports when in startup repair and there's only one PS/2 port so I can't use both a mouse and a keyboard when trying to fix it.

Please help!

Turns out it's called StarForce Protection and it must have been installed alongside some old video game and it ended up causing conflict for some reason. Deleting the sfsync02.sys file solved it.
