[SOLVED] Windows 7 key to activate windows 10?

So on my new pc I am going to build, I was wondering if it is possible to activate windows 10 with a windows 7 key. In addition, will Windows 10 Pro work if I use a windows 7 ultimate key (if the previous question in true)?

If that Win 7 license is valid and unused elsewhere, this should work.

This Windows 7 Ultimate copy is from my dad, who got it from a friend who used to work at Microsoft quite a while ago. I've been using this copy on my current (pretty bad) pc.
