Windows 7 Log On Black Screen

Hello,

Has anyone experienced the black screen (some call it the black screen of death) after you log on to Windows 7?

It happens randomly and after logging on, the system displays a black screen, hangs and/ or reset.

in the right lower corner does it say you have a bootleg copy of 7, please activate

No, my copy is legitimate and activated months ago.

there was some chatter some time ago that one of the updates was giving some problems with activation, so all you are doing is going to personalize and changing the background again, any chance of a virus(reaching for straws)
