Windows 7 Low RAM Memory Warning

I have 8GB RAM but a Windows 7
"low memory" warning telling me to close applications to free up RAM keeps popping up and minimizing my game (which crashes it).

I still have about 2.5GB RAM left that isn't being used as the game only uses 3GB and Windows averages 3.5-4.5GB of RAM.

I want to know how to disable this popup warning.

-I do not enable HDD page file because it very slow compared to RAM speeds and my old HDD might get thrashed from it. It's a hybrid drive too so I don't want the 4GB of SSD Cache portion of it getting overused either since it's programmed to buffer through the SSD when the regular buffer is exceeded.

Could someone please tell me how to disable this popup which is crashing this one game? Thanks!

Which game are you playing? I used to get a Low Memory warning/crash when playing CoD Advanced Warfare... and my system is running 16GB of RAM. I cleared it up by just lowering the settings slightly for that game. What was funny was... I would look at my system RAM during gameplay and it would almost reach the limit...

My computer is 8 years old so when I disabled the paging file it was when I flashed my BIOS to achieve 8GB of RAM. My HDD is a hybrid so it has the ability to buffer on its SSD during many instances of daily use which greatly shortens the life of the drive itself even if the HDD portion is fine but the SSD cache will die far sooner. To help prevent that, I disabled the page file on the HDD. Seagate also approved of this as a strategy to increase the drive's lifespan since the firmware does not allow any modifications. But when I disabled the page file there was a MASSIVE increase in system speed. Everything is faster, snappier, and more stable which leads me to believe that Windows was either having trouble with the HDD itself (hybrids are a strange technology and my laptop is archaic) or the HDD was not a happy camper. Either way, it's been disabled for 3 years and this was the first low memory warning I've ever had in the entire life of the system.

I found a resource already on how to disable the warning. I was never actually low on memory since I always had 2GB still free but it was just Windows was set to display the warning at 80% RAM usage (6GB of 8GB in use). The warning would not have been an issue if only it did not crash my game lol. How stupid.

Doesn't matter now. Here was what I did to disable the low RAM warning

1. Click Start, click in the Start Search box, type gpedit.msc, and then press ENTER

2. In the navigation tree
expand Computer Configuration,
expand Administrative Templates,
expand System,
expand Troubleshooting and Diagnostics,
and click Windows Resource Exhaustion Detection and Resolution.

3. In the console pane, double-click Configure Scenario Execution Level

4. select Disabled, and then click OK. If it is set to "Not Configured" this simply means it will use the default of "On" and you can select disabled anyway

All the issues with the game stopped so I'm glad I searched around. My laptop cannot get more memory so I had no choice on this. If the warning had popped up followed by system instability or if I truly had too little RAM to maintain Windows background services then that would have been a different story. But as usual, Windows is stupid and utilizes resources about as well as one could expect a cavemen to utilize a computer.
