[SOLVED] Windows 7: No connections are available

Hello,

I have this old computer with Windows 7. It doesn't support wireless networks, only wired, hence I cannot access internet from it anymore. Either the ethernet port is damaged or there is some software problem, I cannot figure out. Please help.

I tried system restore method and I found something interesting. (The restore method failed due to some error in files though)

Yeah, the problem is there since December 2019. We don't use this computer much and hence didn't bother about it much because of new laptop, but now I feel the need to get this thing working as it's just lying there useless.

Try identify the motherboard and go to the manufacturer's website driver page and see if there is a network driver available you can download on a connected PC and transfer the driver via usb.

If not sure what motherboard it is, use a utility such as Cpuz and look under mainboard tab to identify manufacturer and model.

Hello. Its Gigabyte M68MT-S2.
I checked on their official website.

This driver says that it includes LAN.

Yes, but make sure you download the correct bit version if yours is 64bit. That one there is for 32bit.

Okay, the machine is connected to the internet now, but it's still showing the same thing.

Try clicking the circular arrows in the message to refresh. Has the pc had a restart since driver install?

Yes, I've restarted the PC and tried refreshing as well.
