Windows 7 OEM Harddrive replacement

Hello,
I recently purchased the components to build a new computer and windows 7 oem. Unfortunately the hard drive was DOA, and the replacement will take some time. Can I use another older hard drive to install the windows 7 oem on and then in 2 weeks when I get the new hard drive safely upgrade it to that one?

Yes, the HD will not trigger any problems. You will have to reactivate the new install.

Also if you are worried about reusing the product key then just do not use the serial when installing and skip the auto activation -- It will give you 30 days to activate and since you should have the replacement HDD by then can just reinstall and activate once the replacement arrives.
