Windows 7 Old & New version difference

Hello,
I'm looking to put Windows 7 on the new pc I'm building and want to know what the difference is between the "OLD" version and the "NEW" version of Windows 7 is.

I'm not sure if it is about SP1 or not. I noticed on several sites selling Windows 7 (Premium,Pro & Ultimate) they offer a new and old version. Can an old version be updated to a new version? I'm not sure if this makes sense to you but I hope it does.

After a little more digging I found the answer and sminlal you are correct the "Old" version is without SP1 and the "New" version comes with SP1 (at an additional cost of $20 on average).

If you can save $20, buy the "old" version. It will automatically upgrade to SP1 once you get it hooked up on the Net...
