Hi, I was looking to pick up a few extra copies of Windows 7 64Bit and decided to look on eBay. What came up confused me. A lot of these listings said new, and then said something about including a hard drive with no warranty. Can someone clear this up for me?

What is the best price I can get for any kind of 64Bit Windows 7 disc, and would it be beneficial to just save money and buy keys, or could these keys be illegal and risky? Thanks guys, -T

Most recovery discs? A lot of them say they will work on a newly built computer.
Please elaborate.

" a few extra copies" ?
Why? What do you need with multiples?
That's like asking..."I was looking to pick up a few extra RAM sticks, or a few extra CPU's. Where can I get them cheap?"

If you are using those to build new PC's and selling them, you are doing your customers a big disservice.

Buying 'keys' is not valid. Large risk of those 'keys' becoming unactivated.

Bottom line...just buy the OS from a valid, legal retailer. Amazon, Newegg, TigerDirect, etc.
Yes, we all want to save money. And scammers want to make money.

There is no 'cheap'.

no, it's nice to have spare copies of windows laying around. but if that's not good enough for you my dad wants new computers in his shop

New computers in your dads shop or office...you really don't want to go with shady OS licenses.

'spare copies'? OK, whatever...

Buy one retail OS from a valid retailer, for each PC, no worries. You can reinstall that on whatever hardware as many times as you like. Obviously, only one PC at a time per license.

Buy potentially shady copies from some dude on ebay...you're on your own. I wouldn't.

just asking for advice bud. ever watched linus? hes got loads of spare copies. but those are probably retail lol.

linus? He gets paid to do that. You and I do not.

lol
just pointing out the fact that he has tons of spare copies of windows. i build pcs for fun and sell them when im done. but i don't ask for what i paid for all the parts. i just like tinkering. nothing wrong with that.
